Our Purpose
The relationships within the Waikiki Community, which includes students, teachers, staff, parents, partners and general public, are a vital influence on the success of our children’s futures. Therefore, our purpose is to foster a sense of support, pride and enthusiasm; to encourage parent and public involvement in Waikiki School; and to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that the parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth, to engage in activities which promote and foster community spirit and mutual understanding within our school community. The Waikiki School PTO shall provide service for school functions, engage in fundraising projects, encourage parent, teacher, and community involvement, and cooperate with school administration in providing educational opportunities.

Chela Sheets - PTO President
Aloha families! I'm Chela and I have a son in fourth grade and a daughter in second grade here at Waikiki School, as well as a four-year-old daughter (who will be in kinder next year!) I'm amazed at the wonderful things that happen here at Waikiki School and am so thankful that our family is a part of it. I'm looking forward to working together with all of you to help make it another wonderful year for our keiki!
Kali Larson - PTO Vice President
I have a daughter in second grade here at Waikiki Elementary and am so grateful to be part of the Waikiki School ohana! I am excited to work together to support our keiki, teachers, and families and make it a great year!
Chelsea Leitner - PTO Secretary
I have 2 kids at Waikiki School, one in 2nd and one in 5rd grade. I teach Health and Wellness at Punahou School. In my free time, I enjoy making jewelry and swimming in the ocean. My goal for this year is to help to support students and families of Waikiki School through the PTO.
Yamato Sasaki - PTO Co-Treasurer
Happy to be part of the wonderful Waikiki School ohana. I have 2 kids, one graduating in 2028 and the other in 2031. Aside from the excellent teachers and staff, I love the school's mindful philosophy and farm program. I enjoy working collaboratively with you all to reach our goals. My hobbies are art, exercise, psychology, and nature.
